In Celebration, PornHub Creates its First Chatbot on the Blend Platform Using its New Open API to Deliver News and Updates to Users

New York, NY (December 15, 2016) – Pornhub, the premiere online destination for adult entertainment and RedTube, a leading, free online adult entertainment site, today announced Blend, a millennial-focused chat bot platform, as the winner of their global advertising contest.

Based in San Francisco, Blend is a messaging app geared towards millennials. The platform allows groups of friends to chat and consume relevant content together through chatbots branded as, “Genies.” The company recently announced the launch of its API for developers to create their own Genies and leverage Blend’s bot solution to empower conversations and provide over 1 million millennial users with in-app experiences never seen before on a messaging platform. In celebration of the announcement, Pornhub has created its first chatbot on the Blend Platform using its new API to deliver Pornhub news and pornstar updates to its users.

In celebration of the announcement, we created a Pornhub Genie using its new open API, which would run in in tandem with the campaign and through which users can better consume content.”

Pornhub’s Genie on Blend will mimic social media personality, Pornhub Aria, and aggregate all Pornhub news coverage, allowing users to stay up to date with the adult entertainment company’s happenings. The chatbot will also allow users to select their favorite pornstar and receive real-time notifications on when a new video featuring that individual is uploaded to Pornhub or RedTube.

Launching in August, Pornhub’s global advertising contest received over 100 submissions through its duration. An esteemed panel judged each submission on creativity, originality and how each campaign fit in with the Pornhub audience. Coming in second and third place respectively, and awarded with some advertising space on Pornhub and RedTube as well, were Friction Free Shaving, the world’s first razor subscription service and Park & Finch Eye Wear Company, a Montreal-based brand that offers vintage inspired, handcrafted eyewear starting at $95.
